New Gangs Workshop Launched

The Detective Project has launched a unique workshop that explores gangs and criminal exploitation of young people.

The gang workshops offer an opportunity to deal with a difficult topic in a different and interesting way led by experienced practitioners in a relaxed setting.

The workshop was created and written by Louise Giles and Llorien Walsh of The Detective Project South Essex in conjunction with experts in the field.

Llorien and Louise have over 28 years experience between them of investigating serious crime. They worked together as Scotland Yard Detectives in London and realised they shared a passion for encouraging children and young people to develop an interest in forensics and crime investigation.

This workshop promotes discussion on topics relevant to the social and development programmes in schools by providing a vehicle for pupils to discuss themes such as drug dealing, county lines, internet safety, bullying, sexual exploitation and gang culture.
