Science Week Round-Up

Louise and Llorien from TDP South Essex had a busy Science Week delivering interactive workshops up and down the country. Our bespoke sessions aim to develop young, inquisitive minds and get them excited about science.

Here is a rundown of what they got up to:

  • The children of Eastfield Primary in Enfield turned into mini detectives to help solve the mystery. They worked together using real life forensic techniques to piece together all of the evidence. Everyone got stuck in and had a go at taking their fingerprints and then examining them up close.

“We had such fun today. As part of Science Week we became detectives and as a school we needed to solve the crime of who stole the laptop”. Eastfield Primary

  • There was another laptop theft in the midst as budding detectives at Crown Hills Community College spent the day examining evidence at our crime scene. Using authentic CSI skills they worked on the tasks at hand to solve the crime.

“A massive thank you to Llorien from TDP South Essex, for spending the day with us and running detective workshops for our students. A great way to end a week of celebrating science.” Crown Hills Community College

  • They also entertained a large group of students from Texas and another group all the way from Hawaii who took part in a very British ‘Who Dunnit’.
