Workshop for partially sighted children

I had worried that  our severely sight impaired children would not get quite so much from this activity, but I was thrilled to see that they had the same experience as their sighted siblings and were possibly even more engrossed, especially when “feeling” the skeletons for clues.  I think your years as a teacher and enthusiasm helped enormously.

When I booked the party, I was a little unsure if it would be suitable for our totally blind young members.  The experience the children had on the day far exceeded my expectations.  To see them  so focused and absorbed by what was going on was fabulous.  I had worried that  our severely sight impaired children would not get quite so much from this activity, but I was thrilled to see that they had the same experience as their sighted siblings and were possibly even more engrossed, especially when “feeling” the skeletons for clues.  I think your years as a teacher and enthusiasm helped enormously.

I would first like to thank you for the brilliant party on Saturday! I had several mums texting me to say how much their boy or girl enjoyed it and that the tape has already gone up in their bedrooms.
Ralf and Jack certainly did enjoy the party too and Jack keeps asking me for a special brush 😉…
So I can imagine we will have to invite you again when he is a bit older for another party

The easiest party we’ve ever hosted.

Hi Cath & Mary.   Just wanted to thank you again for Saturday. The girls had an absolute blast and it was the best and easiest kids party we’ve ever hosted. 

We were super impressed with all the thought and details you put into running the day – from the real live phone calls to even bringing your own bin bags to clear up rubbish from the suits.    Thank you very much.  Helen

9th Birthday party

We booked Mid Downs Detective Project for our nine year old girls birthday party and they were brilliant. Not an easy job keeping 15 children not only entertained, but really engaged for over an hour, but they provided a first rate service. A well thought out plot, gadgets, props, skeletons (!) all provided with a professional and hassle free attitude, a cheerful couple of presenters with great experience between them. Highly recommend them for any party – we were quite jealous we weren’t involved in the sleuthing ourselves…

School workshop

The detective project team came to my infant school today for the morning and worked with both classes on solving a crime! Both Cath and Mary arrived early to set up and were well equipped and resourced. The sessions were well planned and engaging for the children. The children were so excited to find out who committed the crime. They experienced a range of activities including dusting for finger prints, finger print lifting, taking finger prints and chromatography. The children the. Used all their evidence to make an arrest. There was lots of laughter, ooooo’s of inspiration and excitement around the suspects. A great morning of science! Thank you ladies xxxx

Team building day for University of Essex

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for yesterday!  We all had a great time and it was so interesting the morning just flew by.  One of my colleagues said it was the best Team Building Away Day that they’ve been part of, so I just wanted to let you know and to say thanks again.   S.Foster
